Our Work Place

Reputation is the cornerstone of every contractor’s business, and at A.J. Dompierre Construction, referrals have been the heart of our business since Al Dompierre started the company in 1965. Now owned and operated by Al’s son, Joe, A.J. Dompierre Construction performs all phases of home improvement. From roofs, windows, and siding, to additions, custom kitchens, and baths, A.J. Dompierre is the company to call.

With over 50 years of experience in the construction industry, A.J. Dompierre Construction has the knowledge to perform all of your projects from the smallest to a whole-house renovation. We offer a timely response, reliable service, quality products, honesty, integrity, and the utmost attention to detail, with a sincere commitment to our customers.

A.J. Dompierre Construction is also highly involved in the local and business community. We have previously been the proud sponsor of the Farmington Area Founders Day Festival. In 1999, A.J. Tips

Thinking of hiring someone for your next project?
Here are some helpful tips to consider before making a decision.

  1. Check to make sure the contractor is properly licensed with the state. State statutes require builders and remodelers to be properly licensed as well as their salespeople. You can also find out if there are any formal complaints against a particular license holder. For more information contact www.cis.state.mi.us
  2. Make sure the contractor carries workman’s compensation and general liability insurance. Request a current copy of these as well as a current copy of their license.
  3. References are always good to get, however, it’s always good to contact your local building department and inquire about the company you may be hiring.
  4. Ask around – neighbors, friends, church, work associates, a referral from people in the community is really the best.
  5. Check with the Better Business Bureau
  6. Make sure contracts are clear; they should be detailed enough so that you understand completely what you’re getting for your money and what you’re not getting. Never sign blank forms or proposals.
